Some families become more than clients, they become part of your story.
Over the past 10 years, we've had the incredible honor of photographing one remarkable family's milestones at the Disneyland Resort, beginning with their oldest daughter's quinceañera and continuing through each of her three younger sisters.
Watching these young women grow up in front of our cameras has been one of the greatest privileges of what we do. Each quinceañera reflected a unique personality and vision, yet they were all united by the same love for family, tradition, and the magic of Disney. It's a journey we're deeply grateful to have been trusted with, and one that reminds us why documenting life's most meaningful moments is so special.
Each sister celebrated at the Disneyland Hotel. Mickey and Minnie joined every celebration. Each sister danced with her quince court and performed two special court dances. As the years went on, castle portraits also became part of the tradition.
There were so many similarities between the four days, but that's part of what makes looking back at them so special. Each sister inherited pieces of the tradition her older sisters started while finding ways to make the celebration completely her own.

2026
1st Sister
Our story with this family began in 2016, when we photographed the oldest sister's quinceañera at the Disneyland Hotel.
Her celebration featured a beautiful gold color palette, giving the day an elegant and timeless look.
Her quince court was an important part of the celebration, including two special dances performed together.
Mickey and Minnie also made an appearance, creating a moment that would eventually become a tradition shared by all four sisters.
At the time, though, none of us knew we were photographing the beginning of something much bigger.
2nd Sister
In 2022, six years after that first quinceañera, it was time for the second sister to celebrate.
There was something immediately special about returning to the Disneyland Hotel with the same family. Some things felt familiar, while others reflected a completely different sister and a new moment in the family's life.
Her color palette featured beautiful beige and neutral tones, creating a look reminiscent of her older sister's gold celebration while still having an identity of its own.
There was a quince court. There were two dances. And, of course, Mickey and Minnie returned to celebrate with the family.
But this time, another experience became part of the story: quinceañera portraits at Sleeping Beauty Castle inside Disneyland.
Those castle photographs added another layer of Disney magic to the celebration and would become something the younger sisters continued for their own quinceañeras.
3rd Sister
Two years later, we were back again.
By 2024, photographing another quinceañera for this family felt both familiar and completely new.
The third sister chose red, immediately giving her celebration a bold personality that stood apart from the gold and neutral colors of her older sisters. And that's one of our favorite things about seeing these four quinceañeras together.
When you look at the photographs, the celebration still feels entirely hers. The colors changed. The personalities changed. The relationships evolved. Even the family itself had grown and changed since we first photographed them eight years earlier.
The framework became a family tradition, while each sister filled it with her own personality.
4th Sister
Then came 2026.
Ten years after photographing the first sister, we returned to the Disneyland Hotel for the fourth and youngest sister's quinceañera.
This time, the celebration featured blue and spring-inspired colors, creating another completely different look for a setting we had come to know so well through this family.
She continued so many of the traditions her sisters had shared before her:
- Two special dances
- Mickey and Minnie
- And a quinceañera portrait session at Sleeping Beauty Castle
But this celebration carried an additional significance for us.
We knew this was the fourth one.
The youngest sister we'd once seen as part of her older sisters' celebrations was now the quinceañera herself.
After ten years, the family's four-quinceañera story had come full circle.
Watching Four Sisters Grow Up Through Our Cameras
There is another side to this story that means a lot to us as photographers. We've had the privilege of watching this family grow for an entire decade. When we photographed the first quinceañera in 2016, the younger sisters were exactly that: the younger sisters.
Then, one by one, we watched each of them reach the same milestone. A sister who appeared in family photographs at one quinceañera eventually became the person putting on the gown, taking portraits, dancing with her court, and celebrating her own fifteenth birthday.
Photography has an incredible way of revealing how quickly those years pass. A single gallery preserves one celebration. Four galleries spanning ten years preserve a piece of a family's history.
